Meet Our Chair: Linda Mattock
Linda Mattock brings deep experience, thoughtful leadership, and a lifelong commitment to public education to her role as Chair of Public Schools of Saskatchewan.
With a 35-year career in education, Linda has served Saskatchewan students and communities in a wide range of roles, including classroom teacher, vice-principal, principal, and Superintendent of the Horizon School Division. She has been a school board trustee for nine years and currently serves as Chair of the Ho


Meet Our First Vice-Chair: Cathy Cornet
Cathy has been a dedicated Trustee with Lloydminster Public School Division since 2009 and brings more than a decade of governance experience to her leadership role. As the parent of three LPSD graduates, Cathy has a deep personal connection to public education and a strong belief in its ability to serve every student.


Meet Our Second Vice Chair: Jan Morrison
Jan Morrison currently serves as a trustee with Good Spirit School Division, a role she has held since 2016. Her connection to public education began as a parent and community member, motivated by a desire to be actively involved in decisions affecting her daughter’s education.


Magnet Welding Program Grant
Mr. Fehr, who instructs the Magnet welding program, applied to the Canadian Welding Bureau (now known as the CWB group) for a grant to upgrade the Magnet welding program's safety equipment, and just recently -- we are very pleased to announce -- was awarded 14 WeldSAFE kits, each kit averaging $1,200 worth of safety equipment, a total value of $16,800.


The Legacy of Terry Fox at Davidson School
Every year, schools across Canada, and around the world, hold Terry Fox Runs, in honour of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and to continue his dream to find a cure for cancer. For more than a decade, Davidson School, a K-12 school with less than 400 students in Sun West School Division, has been among the top-fundraising schools in Saskatchewan and frequently raises more money than any other school in the province.

Career Explorations Event A Huge Success
The Career Explorations event held at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton, in collaboration with Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools (CTTCS), Suncrest College, and Good Spirit School Division (GSSD) brought together over 2,000 students in grades 9-12 from eleven GSSD high schools, two CTTCS high schools, and surrounding First Nations communities for a day of inspiration and opportunity.


Maidstone Schools Host Remarkable Remembrance Day Ceremony Featuring Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan
Students, staff, families, and community members in Maidstone experienced a truly memorable Remembrance Day ceremony on November 7, 2025, as Maidstone High School and Ratushniak Elementary School came together to honour Canada’s veterans in a powerful and meaningful way. The joint service was led by Maidstone High School’s Grade 12 class, under the direction of History teacher Mrs. Wicks, and by Ratushniak Elementary School teacher Mrs. Bellin.
