GSSD Recognized in Legislature for Leadership in CPR Awareness

Minister Kaeding presented a member statement in the Saskatchewan Legislature recognizing November as CPR Month.
During the statement, he highlighted important information about cardiac arrest, the life-saving role of CPR education, and the value of having Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) accessible in communities and public spaces. Good Spirit School Division was acknowledged for its leadership and contributions to advancing CPR awareness and education across the province. The recognition reflects the collective efforts and progress made over the past year to promote student and staff safety.
GSSD has implemented the CardiacCrash program in all Grade 8 and 10 Wellness classes. CardiacCrash is an innovative, award-winning experience that teaches CPR and AED use in a high-energy, interactive way. Designed for use in schools, the workplace and community settings, CardiacCrash helps participants overcome their fear and reluctance to take action when they see someone experiencing a cardiac arrest.
